Wow! What a weekend! From demonstrating daffodils on the open stage, to modelling hands and feet in the enclosed theatre. Winning Cake off with Team Welsh Cakes (come and support us in the final in November), to having an incredible response to my Spiderwick feature. Thank you Will Torrent for Tweeting to Tony DiTerlizzi, because when he and his family tweeted about it too, that was just incredible. The Spiderwick Chronicles shared my video of the feature too. It is a wafer paper flower tutorial including Dahlia, Rose buds, Succulents, Rose leaves and Eucalyptus.

I am excited to share that I will be teaching a mini class for Saracino at Cake International 3-5th November.
I will be teaching how to model hands and feeet using Saracino pasta model and Cerart modelling tools.

This years Cake International really was exciting.
I am pleased to announce my "Away with the Faeries" feature sponsored by Renshaws, Saracino, Dummies Direct, Rainbow Dust, Clairella Cakes, Cerart. A life size male Faerie sculpture surrounded by giant wafer paper and paste flowers. Don't forget to look for the little beasties.

I am no longer able to compete at Cake International while I am judging, but competing is very important as it keeps you challenging yourself.
So I entered the small decorative exhibit category and am honoured to say I won a gold award for my Father Earth exhibit.

I spent approximately 4-4 1\2 hours sculpting a cake live which was served to the public after prize giving.
I was thrilled to welcome Cara Maiden, Paul Williams and Rob Baker-Gall as guest artists at my stand and they did wonderful demonstrations creating pieces to add to the finished display.

I am thrilled to share that I taught in China in April for Squires Kitchen - China
I was a judge at the Patisserie Elite competition at the Shanghai International Exhibition Centre,
I am also assisted with the Chinese Tutor Assessment Program. They have developed a wonderful program where the participants can display their skills.
I was also proud to be a Guest Tutor and taught a two day Master Class at the Tangshishi Sugarcraft Training School ( Shanghai) where I taught my new Fairy Cottage Class.
In November 2019 I will bring my first book to Cake International at my authors stand F31.
It is book one in a trilogy and is a cake tutorial book with a difference
Every chapter page will be the next page in the story Cyril's Cake Adventure, and the story can all be produced using the tutorials in the book.
There will be 200 Limited editions available and these are available now for pre order via the shop page.
The Limited Editions will be special and are designed to enhance the reading experience for the little ones in your kitchen with little surprises through the book.
