Sugar Flower class.    Suitable for all levels.

Bluebells, Freesias, Dog Daisy, Sweet Peas and Hibiscus


(please note the gaps in the schedule. These are due to school holidays or my other teaching commitments) Please bring paper and pen for notes


Each week please bring:  flower paste (recommended brands include squires kitchen, saracino, platinum,), corn flour, edible glue and brush, dusting brushes and palette, non stick board (grooved board optional), cel pad, polystyrene block 10" square and 10" box at least 12" tall (look in ikea too) to transport flowers weekly, florist wires and florist tape to include nile green, flower modelling tools including dresden, ball and bone tool, scalpel, cone tool, jem12a/b frilling stick, kitchen roll, wire cutters/pliers, 18, 24, 26, 28g white wires, white and nile green florist tape, small matt stamen


Choose your flower colours and bring that flower paste, or bring white flower paste and you can bring paste colours to colour your paste.  Dust colours will be advised to match your chosen colours.


Week 1 8th May  - Sweet Peas - sweet pea cutters we will make free hand leaves

Week 2 15th May - Dog Daisy - single petal daisy cutter for individually wired method, or PME plunger daisy cutter, sieve or daisy centre stamp by jem

Week 3 22nd May - Hibiscus - Hibiscus cutter or I will give template, hibiscus petal veiner or all purpose petal veiner

Week 4 5th June - Hibiscus - as last week

Week 5 12th June- Freesias - six petal pointed flower cutter or three petal freesia cutter

Week 6 26th June- Freesias

Week 7 3rd July - Bluebells - 5/6 star tool (in your regular kit), small pointed nail scissors (we will do the pulled method), bluebell dusting colour

Week 8 10th July- Complete and arrange - why not bring a pretty teapot or vase or watering can to arrange your flowers in

Week 8 6th March - Rose - Flowerpaste in chosen colour. Polystyrene rose bud 1" approx, 18g white wire and 24g white wire, individual rose petal cutters and optional veiner, dessert spoons
