(please note the gaps in the schedule. These are due to school holidays or my other teaching commitments) Please bring paper and pen for notes
Each week please bring: flower paste (recommended brands include squires kitchen, saracino, platinum, simply heaven), corn flour, edible glue and brush, dusting brushes and palette, non stick board (grooved board optional), cel pad, polystyrene block 10" square and 10" box at least 12" tall (look in ikea too) to transport flowers weekly, florist wires and florist tape to include nile green, flower modelling tools including dresden, ball and bone tool, scalpel, cone tool, jem12a/b frilling stick, kitchen roll, wire cutters/pliers
Week 1 9th January - Lily leaves - mid green flower paste (holly/ivy or spruce green), I will provide templates. leaf veiner optional, I will show how to use with dresden. 26g white wires, nile green florist tape
Week 2 16th January - Oriental Lily - to include either casablanca stargazer. Lily cutters and veiners (or I will provide templates). 26g white wires. white flower paste, semolina and skintone dust colour, 28g white wires and white tape to make the stamen. Empty kitchen roll and clingfilm to make petal former
Week 3 23rd January - Dusting and assembly. - bring lemon yellow and moss green; foliage green dusts for casablanca lily. plus burgundy and aubergine for stargazer lily, dust brushes and palette, nile green florist tape, kitchen roll
Week 4 30th January - Peony - 1 1/2-2" polystyrene ball cut in half. 18g wire, 24g wire. Flowerpaste in chosen colour, peony cutters (veiner optional or 12 a/b jem tool)
Week 5 6th February - Peony as before
Week 6 13th February - peony dusting (and optional leaves)
Week 7 20th February - Rose leaves - rose leaf cutters and veiners, mid green flower paste, moss green, foliage green and aubergine dusts, pme glaze spray, nile green florist tape, 26,28g white wires
Week 8 6th March - Rose - Flowerpaste in chosen colour. Polystyrene rose bud 1" approx, 18g white wire and 24g white wire, individual rose petal cutters and optional veiner, dessert spoons
Week 9 13th March - Rose - as before
Week 10 20th March - Assembly
